 • Musical Background:
My music career started at the tender age of five. With a beautiful but sorrowfully too quiet instrument.... the violin. Even after seven years training I can hardly play a thing today. Then at the age of 12 I heard "Machine Head" for the first time and discovered heavy metal music, a turning point in my life. From that moment on I wanted to play some thing faster and louder, so I started out on drums. Now I could release the feelings that music had awoken in me. After a year of lessons I again decided to switch to another instrument. The acoustic guitar of my father accompanied my life since I can remember, it was also close at hand so I decided to lern how to play it. I was self-taught in the beginning but got lessons between the age of 13 and 15. I`ve also played the piano for many years now. I tought myself to play the flute when I was 17, not like many who take it up at a younger age. In spite of my many changes concerning instruments I never gave up one. Beside all the instruments I've always been a singer. I've had two years of jazz and popular music training, and since 2007 I'm receiving classical training. In the old days at school I sang in the school band. We played musicals, pop and evergreen classics, we even made CDs. That was the start of my stage and studio learning curve. In summer holidays of 2008 I was part of the coir (KUG opera choir) in the production of the Magic Flute. To earn a little pocket money I sometimes sing with a group that plays locally. Unfortunately they mostely play "elevator music".
